Research KITAS (Research Visa) - Who Is It For And What Are The Benefits
The research KITAS is exclusively reserved for only 1 purpose, for foreigners that are doing research throughout Indonesia.
The visa must have a sponsorship, which may be via eligible universities or related ministries. As this is a research visa, it is not applicable for gaining income in a working capacity.
Steps To Get Your Research KITAS
- Application of E-Vitas C315. This visa is used to enter Indonesia
- Upon the arrival to Indonesia, the foreigner is required to drop the original passport to our office
- Attend the Biometric and finger print session
- E-vitas to KITAS conversion at the local immigration office
- KITAS completion with the E-Kitas along with multiple entry re-entry permit

- KTP of Director
- Username and password for Immigration visa online account (if any)
- Form application signed by the Director or HR Manager (Draff provided by LMI)
- Business Registration Number (NIB) OSS RBA
- Company Tax ID (NPWP)
- Company’s deed of establishment and its
- amendments (if any) / Akta Pendirian Perusahaan dan Perubahannya (bila ada)
- Decree Approval (Legalization) from the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (MoLHR) and its amendments (if any) / SK Kehakiman Pendirian Perusahaan dan Perubahannya (bila ada) Expatriate
Expatriate
- Expatriate passport with minimum 4 blank pages still available with minimum 18 (eighteen) months validity and scanned copy of identification page and cover
- Digital Photograph of the expatriate (red background, format.jpeg)
- Details of expatriate’s address in Indonesia
- A recommendation letter from the Ristekdikti Ministry.
- Bank Statement with minimum balance USD 2,000 or equivalent in IDR. 25,000,000
- Latest Visa stamp (for Onshore visa application)
- Health or travel Insurance and or Statement letter for medical declaration (Draft Provided)
